This section of paving actually hides a few good details.

This Close up shows a few selected names that were present on the First day of the park.

Michael Eisner, Although it isn’t very visable on this photo I’m sure that the tile to the right is Roy Disney.

And below them Mickey Mouse himself.

Of course the keen eyed viewer will have spotted that the tile in the center (which were the tile purchased at the opening of the park) are arranged in a classic Hidden Mickey shape.

Dick Nunis began his career in 1955 in the training department. He eventually became president of Disneyland, California and Walt Disney World and had hand in opening four of the Disney parks around the world. In 1971 he was appointed executive vice president of Walt Disney Attractions and the subsequent supervision of EPCOT the Disney MGM Studios Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland.

Above the Bangles and Beads boutique in Main Street you will spot this window.

Jean-Luc Choplin was hired by Michael Eisner in 1989 to work on the live Entertainment side of Disneyland Paris. Choplins previous experience had seen him at the Paris Opera Ballet and from a more “Arts” background. This showed that Disney was prepared to go that little bit further to create amazing Live Productions.

Unfortunately the other names don’t seem to show up much on the internet. Tom Jacobson Shows up Disney film production for films like Mighty Joe young, but nothing further than that.

What is so special about the view that people are prepares to pay that extra few Euros for?

Merlin L’enchanteur, located in  the centre of Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, hides a couple of secrets. The one we are focusing on this time is a large hidden detail.

Now before I start (or there are comments against this choice) the reason I have chosen this secret is because I know several people who have missed this all together.

Anyway, as you enter Merlin L’enchanteur you will find a traditional souvenier shop, stocked full of collectables. Wind your way through the shop and you’ll find a door with stairs leading down. If you take these stairs you will be treated to finding the Dragons Lair under the castle.  I always prefer this route as it is less obvious than the sign posted paths

Most of us will never have the chance to stay in this suite, unless that lottery eventually pays out.

As you pass underneath the hotel at the Disneyland Park entrance turn around and look up at the back of the hotel. You will notice that there are 3 floors. The first floor is where inventions restaurant is located. The second floor is where you’ll find the Castle CLub Lounge. Finally the top floor…… That is where you’ll find the suite.

To illustrate the suite a little further we have labelled up this photo, with help from Castle Club Kid. The Sleeping Beauty suite starting left to right has a seperate bedroom, lounge and Dining Room.

Whilst queuing up in Star Tours you arrive at the scene where a repair-bot is fixing another robot that looks a little like R2D2.

Look closely at the bot’s waste bucket.

This detail is easily over looked, but in my eyes is a classic Hidden Mickey.
