Before the Euro Disneyland Resort opened , the preview centre opened it’s doors to guests in 1990. The idea was to drum up the idea of Disney magic and gain popular demand. The centre was based south of the Ring road, next to a village called “Serris”. The image below highlights it’s location.

Guests could see models and displays of what they could expect in the resort.

Unfortunately after the Euro Disney Resort opened  the preview center closed and became derelict. After all it was only designed to be a temporary structure. The sorcerers hat was taken down and the walls were painted over.

But when you get empty buildings you also get unwanted visitors. Some time around 2004-2006 a camp of travellers claimed the site for themselves. Setting up camp. Also a ton of vandalism and graffiti ensued. Although these were not necessarily linked.

Finally in the Summer of 2010 the whole building and car parks were demolished and cleared. The land has been sold on and is due to be developed by a medical company for offices.

Infelizmente, após a abertura do Euro Disney Resort, o centro fechou e ficou abandonado. Apesar de tudo, era uma estrutura temporária. O chapéu de Feiticeiro foi removido e as paredes pintadas de novo.

Mas sempre que se tem um prédio vazio, tem-se visitas indesejadas. Por volta dos anos 2004-2006, um grupo de viajantes assumiu o espaço como seu. Montado o acampamento, seguiu-se uma grande quantidade de vandalismo e graffiti, apesar de não haver, necessariamente, alguma ligação.

Eu daria crédito pelas fotos acima, mas a sua fonte não é conhecida.

Finalmente, no Verão de 2010, todo o edifício e parque de estacionamento foram demolidos. O espaço foi vendido e deve agora ser o local de escritórios de uma empresa ligada à medicina.

Dieses öffnete 1990 für die Öffentlichkeit. Der Gedanke dahinter war der, die Idee hinter der Disney Magie zu verbreiten und einem öffentlichen Publikum bekannt zu machen. Dieses Center lag südlich der Ringstraße neben dem Dorf “Serris”. Auf dem Bild hier könnt Ihr genau sehen, wo es sich befand.

Besucher konnten hier Modelle und Ausstellungen dessen sehen, was später im Resort zu erwarten sein würde.

Nachdem das Euro Disney Resort eröffnet hatte schloß das Preview Center leider und verfiel. Nun, es war allerdings auch geplant, dass es nicht dauerhaft installiert sein sollte. Der Zauberhut verschwand und die Wände wurden überstrichen.

Aber wenn Gebäude leerstehen finden sich üblicherweise auch immer wieder ungebetene Gäste ein. Irgendwann in der Zeit zwischen 2004 und 2006 hatte sich gleich ein ganzes Rudel an “Reisenden” dort niedergelassen. Vandalismus und Graffitis sind die traurigen Folgen davon. Auch wenn es nicht zwingend die direkten Folgen sein müssen.

Wir würden gerne die Fotografen nennen, aber leider ist die Quelle der Aufnahmen nicht bekannt.

Im Sommer 2010 wurden die Gebäude und Parkplätze letztlich dem Erdboden gleichgemacht. Das Grundstück wurde verkauf und ein medizinisches Unternehmen plant dort seine Büros zu errichten.
